Marjorie Adam is a Principal Broker and is the Team Leader of the Marjorie Adam Team, business coach for Realtors across the country, mom and wife. She is an expert in the local real estate market and specializes in negotiation of contracts for our buyers and sellers and pricing and strategy for our sellers. Because of her expertise and experience she regularly speaks at real estate events in and out of state.
She is married to her husband Philippe, a chef and pastry chef, from Belgium, and has two sons, Alex and Lucas, all of whom are dual citizens and speak fluent French. Marjorie is an animal lover and has four rescue dogs. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, watching movies, spending time with her family, and recording her podcast, Real Estate Unscripted.
Jacques joined the Marjorie Adam Team in 2004 as a Realtor and Buyer Specialist, and has since obtained a home inspection license and an FAA unmanned pilot license to capture new perspectives of the area using his drone. His vast knowledge of construction is a major benefit for our sellers and buyers.
Jacques and his wife, Kate, who is French and is a preschool teacher at The International School of Charlottesville, have two daughters, Emilie and Chloe. Jacques enjoys spending time with his family, playing the drums, practicing Karate, and traveling. (Jacques is also Marjorie’s brother!)
A lifelong resident of Greene County, Matthew Woodson has a deep love for all things Virginia. He and his family call the South River Valley in Stanardsville home. In his free time, Matthew enjoys golfing at golf courses around the Charlottesville area, fishing at Virginia’s many lakes, and cheering on the Hoos basketball team. With a real estate career that began in 2004, Matthew founded the Woodson Realty Team in 2024, earning a stellar reputation for his dedication and hard work on behalf of his clients.
Lance is the co-owner of Pathways Group LLC, dba Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Pathways. A Realtor for 18 years, Lance specializes in working with buyers and sellers of properties in need of restoration. He is the owner of Two Dog LLC, which has renovated and sold 20 homes in the area. He is a huge fan of Bodos, UVa baseball, Ohio State football, golfing at The Greene Hills Club and camping in the Blue Ridge. His wife, Dr. Melissa Hoover, is a college professor and daughter, Maddy, is a senior at Western Albemarle High School.
Megan Perry grew up on a small farm in Greene County and now resides in the picturesque mountains of Stanardsville. Along with her daughter, Megan embraces the outdoors, enjoying horseback riding, fishing, kayaking, swimming, and hiking in the Shenandoah National Park. Starting her real estate journey as a receptionist, Megan earned her license in 2018 under Matthew’s guidance. She thrives on helping both buyers and sellers achieve their goals.
Born and raised in the Hampton Roads area, Steve moved to Greene County with his wife and daughter in 2007. He partnered with his Mother in Law to open up a Child Care Center, which they ran and operated for 10 years. After selling the business in 2017, Steve worked as a Sales Rep in the electrical industry, until finally taking the leap of faith to chase his dream of going into Real Estate and has never looked back! Steve loves everything outdoors, especially fishing, golfing and hunting, but his true happy place is sitting on a beach with his family and friends. Whether it's a house, land, residential or commercial, Steve is always excited to help his clients achieve their real estate goals.
Raised in Tennessee, Kathy Markwood has called the Charlottesville area home since 1980. She enjoys family time and passionately supports the Hoos across all sports. With a real estate license earned in 2001, Kathy has collaborated with Matthew since 2013. As the team’s transaction coordinator and operations manager, Kathy takes pride in ensuring seamless processes and excellent client service.
